Robert M Ross

I’m  an experienced horticulturist and public speaker, interested in building positive communities in horticulture and the wider world. I have a background in public sector horticulture, having worked for both a local authority and a government-funded body to very exacting standards over the last decade.

I’m a Vice-President of the Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society, a judge for Legion Scotland‘s annual Best Kept War Memorial competition and a member of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture. I’m currently working as Regional Operations Coordinator for the Commonwealth War Graves Commission in Scotland.

In 2017 I designed an award-winning show garden for Glen Art at Gardening Scotland, and now have a creative outlet making films for the Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society – you can some of view these on Youtube. In my spare time I also enjoy playing guitars, ukeleles, mandolins and any other fretted instruments I can get hold of.

My formal qualifications include an HND in Horticulture, IOSH Managing Safely and ILM Certificate in Leadership and Management.
